DIY Spring/Easter Wreath for $10

The title basically says it all. This little project took less than half an hour total! Super cheap, super fast, super cute, totally worth it in my book.

What You'll Need

From the Dollar Tree:
Wire frame - $1
5 rolls of 2" burlap ribbon (9 ft) - $5
Ribbon - $1

From Target:
Burlap Carrots - $3

From your craft stash:
Cardstock or paper (Optional)
Glue gun (Optional)
Scissors
Markers (Optional)

So honestly, I started this project with a different burlap and ended up not liking it, but forgot to take a picture of the first step with the new ribbon, but it's the exact same thing.

1 - Take the burlap ribbon and tie it to the bottom layer of the frame, I glued it for extra strength. Pull a bit of the burlap out through each layer of the frame, it should create 3 little loops.

2 - Twist the top at the back of the burlap, then insert it in to the bottom and repeat the first step.

3 - Continue the first and second steps all the way around, pushing the burlap together and bunching it up as you go. If a little of the wire shows, it's okay.

Now how you decorate your wreath is totally up to you, but this is what I did.

4 - Measure, cut, and tie a ribbon going across the width of the wreath. I tied it to the outermost layer of the metal frame.

5 - I wrote "Happy Spring" on little pieces of cardstock (probably a little less than an inch each), and hot glued them to the ribbon going across. Whatever phrase you choose is up to you.

6 - To attach the burlap carrots I actually used the twine they came wrapped up in and tied them to the outermost layer of the frame, adding some hot glue for strength.

7 - Tie a ribbon to the top at the outermost layer of the frame to hang the wreath from.

And there you have it!
