Another DIY Spring Wreath for Under $10

Since that last wreath turned out so cute and was so easy to do, I decided to make my gramma a wreath as well. So this is what I did, on a budget of course, in less than half an hour.

What You'll Need

From the Dollar Tree:
Wire Frame $1
5 Cattails (I thought they looked like lavender) $5
2" Burlap Ribbon $1
3"-4" Burlap 3 yards $1
Brown yarn OR another roll of 2" burlap ribbon $1

From your craft stash:
Hot glue gun (Optional)
Scissors

1 - Take the 2" burlap ribbon and wrap it around the frame. Make sure the edges of the ribbon only overlap slightly to leave room to tuck the flower stems. You can choose to use a second roll of the ribbon to wrap all the way around the frame, or leave this blank for now and fill it in later in the project with twine or yarn.

2 - You can just tie the ribbon to the frame, but I suggest hot gluing it for the extra strength.

3 - Take the first set of flowers and lay it out along the frame to get a sense of where you want to bed it. Take it and bend it slightly to match the turn of the frame.

4 - Tuck the stem in to a layer of burlap and just push it down, be careful not to put holes in to the burlap.

I chose to hot glue some of the stems down for extra stability, but you don't have to because they do have floral wire in them for support.

5 - Continue tucking the flowers all the way around. I did 3 facing the top towards the part I left blank, then 2 facing the other direction with some overlap. You can do this or have them all going one direction.

6 - Make a bow from the larger burlap and attach it with yarn or twine to the frame. I hot glued it for extra strength but you don't have to.

7 - Depending whether or not you did the second roll of burlap on the frame, you can now take the yarn or twine and wrap around the frame to cover any wire showing around the bow.

And there you have it!
